After a few minutes, I made this promise to myself: if I could get my classroom cleaned up and accomplish all of my errands, I would not make myself go to the gym and instead take myself to the library. A trip to the library is to me what receiving the most beautiful diamond necklace/ring/bracelet/etc. is to most girls.
I mustered up my remaining energy, got my classroom cleaned up, packed my bags, and headed out the door. Of course, I stopped at a gas station on my way to the big city for some caffeine and a little bit of sugar. Extra energy, no matter how manufactured it was, was necessary.
Fast forward to right now and I'm sitting comfortably on my couch. I successfully completed all of my errands. My classroom will be fully equipped with Clorox wipes, heart doilies, lunch bags, little trinkets for the treasure box, and page protectors. Personally, I'm set for the next month of infertility treatment, and I now have turkey for my lunch tomorrow.
The best part, though, is this: I now have four brand-new (to me) books to be devoured in the next three weeks. I'm about as excited as a kid on Christmas morning! My night is far from over - I still haven't solidified my plans for tomorrow - but knowing I get to curl up with a Newberry honor book tonight will get me through!
